Luther Huston HEBRON -- George Luther Huston, 86, of Hebron died Thursday, May 12, 2005, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was a son of the late G. Leroy and Beulah M. (Parsons) Huston. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris T. Huston, in 1993. Mr. Huston was a lifetime dairy and grain farmer at Rosewood Farms in Hebron. He was a World War II Army veteran with Company I, 115th Infantry, 29th Division. He participated in Operation Overland, landing on Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944, and was later wounded at St. Lo, France. Among the medals he received was the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a member and past president of the Board of Directors of Marva Farm Credit, member and past president of the Eastern Shore Guernsey Breeder's Association, Wicomico County Farm Bureau, Charity United Methodist Church, Rockawalkin Ruritan Club, life member of American Legion Post 64, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 34, VFW Post 194, and vice president of The 29th Division Association. He is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Janice and Richard Edwards of Ridgely and Joyce and Mike Phillips of Mardela Springs; a sister, Elizabeth Mae Huston; three granddaughters and their husbands, Jill and Scott Youse, Julie and Matthew Kimball and Jana and Danny Hutchison, all of Ridgely; two grandsons and their wives, Geno and Dawn Lowe III, who lived with him at the family farm in Hebron, and Lt. Mike & Rebecca Lowe of Eva Beach, Hawaii; great-grandchildren, Patrick and Natalie Youse and Amber and Geno Lowe IV. He was preceded in death by three brothers, William L. Huston, Norris P. Huston and M. Carroll Huston Sr. [born 1922] A funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Holloway Funeral Home. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from noon to 1 p.m. The Rev. J. Arthur Hurley will officiate. Interment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
