Description	:	BUFFALO - George Marion Robinson, 80, of 351 Linersville Road died Feb. 11, 1999, in Ellen Sagar Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. A native of Buffalo, he was a son of the late Luke and Maggie Bell Davis Robinson. He was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon, Sunday school teacher and served as Training Union director for a number of years. Read More	BUFFALO - George Marion Robinson, 80, of 351 Linersville Road died Feb. 11, 1999, in Ellen Sagar Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. A native of Buffalo, he was a son of the late Luke and Maggie Bell Davis Robinson. He was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon, Sunday school teacher and served as Training Union director for a number of years. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served with the 4th Armored Division under Gen. George Patton. He was retired from United Merchants' Buffalo plant. Surviving are his wife, Gencie Reno Robinson; a daughter, Helen R. Bishop of Buffalo; two sisters, Chloe Reno and Mary Erwin, both of Buffalo; two brothers, James Monroe Robinson of Landrum and Davis Robinson of Spartanburg; two granddaughters; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at Buffalo Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Ed Bolton and Wayne Jones. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Buffalo Baptist Church, 1424 Main St., Buffalo, 29321. S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home of Union is in charge of arrangements.
