Description	:	Funeral services were held in the Klawitter Chapel here Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock for George Maxton Boddye who died Sunday in a Beatrice hospital following a prolonged illness. He had been a resident of Nelson for about ten years. Mr. Boddye was born in Clay County, Nebraska, on May 24, 1881. He was left an orphan at the age of 18 months and was raised by relatives. He had been a resident of Nelson for about ten years. Mr. Boddye was born in Clay County, Nebraska, on May 24, 1881. He was left an orphan at the age of 18 months and was raised by relatives. He was employed by the Chicago Lumber Company in Edgar for a number of years before coming to Nelson. Mr. Boddye was a member of the Methodist Church, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Rebekahs of Nelson, and the Order of Patriarch Militant of Superior, Nebr. He had recently been a state officer of the latter. Survivors are his wife, his daughter, Mrs. Virgil Doll of Hastings, and two grandchildren. The Rev. Harold J. Coates, Methodist minister, officiated at the services here Tuesday. Burial was made in the Edgar cemetery (sic) with the Odd Fellows in charge. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, May 27, 1954
