Description	:	George Van Auker, for several years a resident of this community, died Sunday evening at his home in Fullerton of a heart attack. George Melvin Van Auker, son of Myron J. and Maude Van Auker, was born Dec. 7, 1900, at Lebanon, Kan. While still a child, he moved with his parents to Nebraska, locating in Cuming county. George Melvin Van Auker, son of Myron J. and Maude Van Auker, was born Dec. 7, 1900, at Lebanon, Kan. While still a child, he moved with his parents to Nebraska, locating in Cuming county. Here he grew to manhood. He moved from Cuming county to Albion. He was married at Albion on March 29, 1922, to Miss Marie Sparks and to them one child, Maxine, was born. A year ago the family moved to Fullerton where Mr. Van Auker was in charge of the meat department at the Bowman store. He passed away Sunday evening, Aug. 29, 1943, after a brief illness. He was a kind and loving husband and father, a faithful friend and a trusted employee. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Marie Van Auker; his daughter Maxine; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Van Auker; one brother, Robert, of Missoula, Mont.; one sister, Mrs. L. H. Osborne, of Omaha; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Albion Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. L. N.
