Description	:	George Methyson "Tiny" Barringer, Sharon, formerly of Wheatland, passed away of natural causes at 5:10 p.m. Monday (9-16-13) in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He was 77. Local Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. He was raised in Albemarle and graduated from Albemarle High School in 1954. Tiny, as he was affectionately known, was an over the road truck driver for 30 years at Yourga Trucking Inc., and the former Steel Trucking Inc., both in Wheatland. In years past he drove buses for STA and the Hermitage School District where he enjoyed transporting the Hickory Hornets to their away games. George was a member of Wheatland Farrell United Methodist Church, Wheatland. In his spare time he enjoyed attending auctions, singing, listening to gospel music, and a good game of cards. An animal lover, he particularly loved his dog Napoleon. A veteran of the United States Navy, he was honorably discharged February 6, 1962. George was a member of the American Legion Post 432, Wheatland. His wife the former Gloria Jean Teeter whom he married May 11, 1991, survives at home. He also leaves his daughter, Alicia A. Tamilio and her husband Alfred, Pittstown, NJ, a son, John Woodrow Cogan and his wife Delores "Jeannie" Cogan, a sister, Jeanne Poplin, Albemarle, NC, three step grandchildren, and 5 step great grandchildren a niece, a nephew and many cousins and other family members.. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Strayhaven, Inc. Animal Shelter, 94 Donation Road, Greenville, PA, 16125, in memory of Tiny Barringer .
