| Description | : | The biggest donkey boiler in use by the Northern Cost Timber company on the Tacoma Eastern Railway south of Tacoma, blew up on the morning of June 9th shortly after it had been filled up. Engineer George Gaines was killed and his fireman George Evanisch was badly scalded. At this writing is is questionable whether he will survive of not. The boiler was about five years old and practically as good as new.
