Patterson, 61, R.R. 2, Rushville, a resident of the Andersonville community most of his life, died suddenly at 10:06 p.m. Tuesday at Rush Memorial Hospital. Born in Franklin County, February 18, 1921, he was the son of Jesse and Sylvia Robbins Patterson. He was a World War II U.S. Army Purple Heart recipient and was a member of the Batesville American Legion. On December 21, 1940, he was married to Lucille Clark who died November 25, 1981. He is survived by three sons, George A. Patterson, R.R. 2; Jimmy H. Patterson and Jackie L. Patterson, both of the Andersonville community; two daughters, Judy Dwenger of Batesville and Mrs. Jim (Joyce) Howard of Andersonville; four brothers, Alva Patterson of R.R. 1, Paul Patterson of Indianapolis; Norman Patterson, R.R. 4, and Dale Patterson of Rushville; three sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Helen) Spoonamore, Freetown, Indiana; Opal Young of Milroy and Mrs. Robert (Linda) Lantern of St. Paul; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Moster and Sons Mortuary with the Rev. Willis Hamil officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Moster and Sons Mortuary.
