The family tradition also says that George Sr. was buried in Hill Cemetery, Reynoldsburg, Franklin Co., OH (now called Methodist Hill Cemetery). George Sr. married Margaret Long on Feb. 3, 1806, in Northumberland Co. They had the following children there: Edward I (1806-1810); Catherine (b. 1808, m. Benjamin Rush); Daniel Sr. (1810-1876, m. Sarah Ann Seiler/Siler); and Edward II (1813-1899, apparently never married). The family moved to Perry Co., OH, probably before 1815. The following children are shown as born in Ohio: George Jr. (1815-bef. 1860, m. Elizabeth Henderlick); Elizabeth (1818-1870; m. John Henderlick); and Samuel (1822-1901, m. Rebecca Seiler). Of the children, Daniel, Edward II and Elizabeth were also buried in Methodist Hill Cemetery. George Jr.'s death date and burial place are unknown. The eldest son Daniel was living in Reynoldsburg, Franklin Co., in 1850. George Sr.'s son Edward II was living in Truro, Franklin Co., in 1860, along with his widowed mother Margaret. George Sr. and his family were living in Thorn Twp., Perry Co., OH, in 1830. They probably moved to Franklin Co., OH, soon after that. George Sr. is believed to have died in Franklin Co. His widow Margaret Long Parkinson died Aug. 20, 1871, in Franklin Co. and was buried in Methodist Hill Cemetery (presumably near her husband). WARNING: There was another George Parkison of Highland Co., OH, born about 1777, who m. Rebecca Ross on Oct. 18, 1803, in Ross Co., OH (which is adjacent to Highland Co.). He was a hatter by trade and died June 18, 1849, in Highland Co. (U.S., Federal Census Mortality Schedules Index, 1850-1880). These 2 George Parkison/Parkinsons are being confused with one another on the Internet.
