Description	:	Evening Times-Republican, Marshalltown, Iowa ~ August 3, 1908 George Penzkofer, a carpenter, living at 305 1/2 South Third Street, and a resident of the City for the past twenty years died at 11:30 Sunday night of tuberculosis. Mr. Penzkofer was born in Germany, on May 20, 1850, and at the age of 19 came to Hardin county to work for an uncle on a farm. Mr. Penzkofer was born in Germany, on May 20, 1850, and at the age of 19 came to Hardin county to work for an uncle on a farm. He married in this City, on February 5, 1873, Miss Jane Snyder, who survives him. For fifteen years, prior to coming to Marshalltown, Mr. and Mrs. Penzkofer lived at Quarry. Aside from his wife Mr. Penzkofer is survived by four children -- William of Clinton, and John of this City; Mrs. E. Stanley, of Wanego, Kansas; Mrs. R. Kittrick, of this City. One daughter, Mrs. Harry Hubler, died October 2, 1902. A sister of the deceased, Mrs. J.W. Wunschtl, lived in this city. The funeral will be held from the Friends' church in LeGrand, Wednesday morning at 10:30, Rev. Mr. Pierson officiating, and burial following in the Friends' cemetery north of LeGrand.
