Mr. Jenkins was born November 27, 1921 in Forsyth County to Grover Paul and Viola Newman Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Stella Jenkins; one brother; and one sister. Survivors include: son, George Robert "Bobby" Jenkins, Jr. of Elkin; daughter, Elaine Craddock of Winston-Salem; sisters, Fay Smith of Crawfordville, TX, Jan Goode of Greensboro.
