Description	:	George Schneidt, age 71, of Broadus, MT, passed away on August 9, 2005 at his home, with his loving family at his side, after a long battle with cancer. George was born March 31, 1934, in Olive, MT, the eldest son of George Sr. and Josephine Schneidt. He attended school in Kingsley, MT and helped his family ranch in the Olive area. Read More	George Schneidt, age 71, of Broadus, MT, passed away on August 9, 2005 at his home, with his loving family at his side, after a long battle with cancer. George was born March 31, 1934, in Olive, MT, the eldest son of George Sr. and Josephine Schneidt. He attended school in Kingsley, MT and helped his family ranch in the Olive area. During the years, George enjoyed the great outdoors; fishing, hunting, camping, riding motorcycles and working with horses. George's true passion, however was his family. He always put their needs ahead of his own, always thinking of others first. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.George served his country proudly in the United States Army, overseas in Germany, from 1954 to 1956. He was in the Army Reserves from 1956-1962. He was member of Veterans of Foreign War and the American Legion. While in the military, he married the love of his life and hometown sweetheart, Beth Tipton on October 16th, 1954. They just recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with family and friends. Upon returning from Germany, George worked for the Joe Irion and Les Wilson ranches, as well as for Frank Bandy Drilling. He later was employed with Powder River County with the Road Crew as a heavy equipment operator, where he enjoyed building roads, plowing snow and occasionally fighting fires. For a short while, George worked for Williams & Sons, but returned to the Powder River County Road Crew that he loved. He retired from the county in the winter of 2003. George also delivered mail for the United States Postal Service for the past 10 years, where he enjoyed driving the country roads over the land he loved. George is survived by his wife, Beth Schneidt of Broadus, MT; and his children and grandchildren whom he took great pride and joy in; daughter, Leona Neate and her husband Albert of Broadus, MT; daughter, Ann (Annie) Will and her husband Kirk Sr. Newcastle, WY; granddaughter, Theresa Anderson of Billings, MT; grandson, Kirk Will Jr. and his wife Toni of Fort Collins, CO; grandson, Kristopher Will of Newcastle, WY; granddaughter, Christina Neate of Glendive, MT; and grandsons, Bobby Neate and Dusty Neate of Broadus, MT. He is also survived by two brothers, Gene Schneidt and wife Vickie of Miles City, MT and Joe Schneidt and wife Jackie of Hamilton, MT; and one sister, Margie Mader and husband Glen of Broadus, MT. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Nick Schneidt (Carol of Miles City, MT). George truly loved his family and taught them about everything he enjoyed in his life. He shared his love of the outdoors with them by teaching his children and grandchildren the secrets to fishing, hunting and riding horses. George shared stories, read books, and was a teacher of patience, kindness, the meaning of hard work and how to love unconditionally.
