Description	:	Son of Martin Geo Hagensick & Verna Sherman; married Anita Hildebrandt in 1935. Edgewood High School Class of 1935. George and Anita farmed near Edgewood for 23 years. He then moved to Edgewood and worked for Fobes Hatchery. In 1964 he purchased the Hatchery and it became Hagensick Hatchery. In 1976 he sold the business and went to work for the Eastern Iowa Shopping News. He was delivering the paper when he was involved in a car accident south of Hazelton. Crash kills Edgewood man HAZLETON — A 63-year-old Edgewood man died early this morning in a Waterloo hospital of injuries suffered in a one-car accident near Hazleton about 4 p.m. Wednesday. George S. Hagensick became the ninth traffic fatality of the year in Buchanan County when he apparently lost control of his car three miles south of Hazleton on Iowa Highway 150 and slammed into a bridge abutment. A passenger in the car, Patrick Helle, 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Helle of Edgewood, was listed in fair condition at an Oelwein hospital today.
