He was a retired machinist, auto worker, construction worker, mechanic, and carpenter. He was a member of Four Mile Missionary Baptist Church for many years. Preceded in death by his parents, William L. and Cleda Doepel Heatherly. Survivors: Wife of 65 years, Mrs. Clarice Heatherly of Maryville; Children, Susan Green of Maryville, Georgia Ann Simeone of Michigan; Grandsons, Richard Payne of Maryville, Robert Smith of Alaska, and Russell Smith of Michigan; Granddaughter, Jeanette Robinson of Maryville;... Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services Monday 1 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Sparks officiating. Interment to follow at Walters Cemetery.
