Steele and interment made in the Cherokee cemetery. The church was crowded with his friends. George Thomas Baird was born in Adams County, Ohio, August 18th, 1867, and departed this life Dec. 29, 1927. Mr. Baird came to Kansas with his parents, when he was 6 years of age, and has lived the greater part of his life in and around Cherokee. Mr. Baird's present home is a part of the farm on which his father settled. He was married May 18, 1892 to Della Brundage of Cherokee; a son, G. Wilbur Baird and a daughter, Mrs. Harold Stephens were born of this union. He leaves to mourn his departure his widow, two children, two grandchildren, George Harold and Margaret Eloise Stephens, one brother, H.M. Baird of Omaha, Nebr. and one sister, Mrs. Mary E.
