Read More	GEORGE AND EDETTA HINTZ Oliver County 1885-1985; Page 733 George was born in September 8, 1914, at his parent's home 4 miles west of Hannover. He lived in this community all of his life. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Hannover, North Dakota. He went to a country school a few years, then finished in the parochial school in Hannover. After school he worked at his father's farm, and later was hired out to work for other farmers in the community. George was active in church work and Walther League. Edetta was born in Center, North Dakota, January 7, 1921. She was baptized at home and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Hannover, North Dakota. She lived for miles North of Hannover, and went to country school 1 mile from home for four years. Then she went to St. Peter's Parochial School in Hannover. She helped her parents on the farm and work for some of the neighbors. Edetta was also active in Walther League. George and Edetta went to Walther League Bible Camp several years, that's where they met and started to date. June 19, 1940, they were married at St. Peter's Lutheran Church by Rev. William H. Gierke. That fall they bought the Fred Albers farm 3 miles North of Hannover. They farmed, milked cows, raised hogs, range cattle, raised chickens, grain, and alfalfa hay and corn, and had a large garden. They both worked in the fields and in the home. They were blessed with five children - three daughters and two sons, who all live in North Dakota. Adrene, lives in Bismarck, North Dakota, and is married to Erwin Graf. They have a son, Steven, and a daughter, Debra. Beverly is married to Henry Schatz. They live in a farm near Elgin, North Dakota. They have one son, Jason, and three daughters, Julie, Robin, and Mari. Karlton is married to Bette (Drath) Hintz. They live on the farm which they bought from his parents (Hintz Farm). They have two daughters, Darby and Karmen. Jeannette is married to Roger Christianson. They live in Bismarck, North Dakota. They have two sons, Bradley and Seth. Kevin lives in Bismarck, North Dakota, and has two daughters, Brandee and Gina. George and Edetta have 12 grandchildren and reside at Hannover just west of the church in the teacherage house which they bought 1979 from St. Peter's Lutheran congregation.
