Description	:	Andrews, SC A collision between an automobile and a pickup truck in Andrews killed three persons on Wednesday, January 26, 1955. George Walter Payne, 18, and Reid Irby Saxon, 19, died soon after arrival at Georgetown County Memorial Hospital. Sollie Lambert, 65, died at the hospital later. Jesse Flowers of Andrews was driving the car in which Payne and Saxon were passengers. Mr. Lambert was driving the truck. He was survived by his mother of Andrews; his father of Langhorne, PA; two brothers, Alert "Bert" Payne of Andrews and Robert Payne of Pawleys Island; two sisters, Mrs. Conrad (Bessie) Hilliard of Georgetown and Mrs. R. T. (Ethel) Tobin Jr. of Mount Pleasant. The funeral was Friday, January 28, 1955, at Andrews Baptist Church. The Rev. E. B. Bagby officiated. Burial, directed by Mayer Funeral Home, was in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
