Read More	Heart Attack Fatal To Walter Williams End Comes Suddenly at His Home Near Royal on Monday Morning at 2:00, Funeral Here Wednesday Friends in Creighton were grieved to learn of the sudden death of Walter Williams, which occurred at his farm home near Royal on Monday morning at 2:00. Mr. Williams suffered a heart attack on Sunday, but rallied after medicine was supplied which was obtained by his wife at Orchard. He ate a good supper that evening and retired for the night and rested well until the early morning. Shortly before 2:00 he got up to fix the fire and upon returning to bed, he was stricken with a second attack and died instantly. George Walter Williams was born in Holyoke, Colorado on January 22, 1893 and died at his home near Royal on March 24, 1941 at the age of 48 years, two months and three days. He came to Saunders county, Nebraska with his parents in 1894 and lived there until 1911 and then moved to a farm south of Creighton. In June of 1919 he was united in marriage to Nellie Carver. To them was born one son, Clayton George, now of New Mexico. With his wife and son he moved to Omaha. In that city, Mr. Williams held a position as detective for the Union Pacific railroad for three years. Their marriage was dissolved in the spring of 1925 and he returned to Creighton, where he has been engaged in farming in both Antelope and Knox counties up to the time of his death. In September 1925, Mr. Williams was married the second time to Birdie McCoy of Council Bluffs, Iowa. To them two children were born, a son, Junior, now at home and a daughter, Marion May, who died at birth. Besides his wife, two sons, one at home and one in New Mexico, other relatives who mourn his departure are his father, George Williams; a brother, Robert of Creighton; step daughter, Frances Johnston, of Royal and two step grandchildren; also one nephew, Jack Williams and two nieces, Betty and Roberta Williams of Creighton and a host of friends. Being a man of commanding physique, Walt, as he was familiarly known here, served as special police officer at numerous dance pavilions including Oakview Park, Lakeview and Dufek pavilions in this vicinity and Summerland at Ewing. He also served in that capacity at a number of Creighton dances and was recognized as an efficient peace officer. Two years ago he was a candidate for the Republican nomination for sheriff of Antelope county and with a number of other men in the race he made a good showing, but was unsuccessful. Funeral rites were held on Wednesday afternoon from the Methodist church at 2:30 with the Rev. John Roe officiating. Burial was made in Greenwood cemetery beside his infant daughter and his mother, the latter preceded him in death four years ago. Pallbearers were County Attorney, Elwin Butterfield of Neligh, Otto Meyer, Everett Johnston and Waldo Davis of Royal and Harry Tyler and Theodore Bazyn of Creighton.
