Description	:	The Hutchinson News 25 Dec 1924 The funeral of Mr. George Dunn was held Sunday, at 2 p.m. at the Abbyville M.E. church with Rev. J.C. Johnson the pastor, officiating. Mr. George Washington Dunn was born near Summerset, Ky., Sept. 2, 1849 and passed away suddenly near Abbyville, Kan., Dec. 18, 1924, age 75 years, 3 months and 16 days. He moved with his parents from Kentucky when but a child, going to Illinois, then to Iowa. From there he came to Kansas, he made his home for several years in Montana and after leaving there he came again to Kansas... Mr. George Washington Dunn was born near Summerset, Ky., Sept. 2, 1849 and passed away suddenly near Abbyville, Kan., Dec. 18, 1924, age 75 years, 3 months and 16 days. He moved with his parents from Kentucky when but a child, going to Illinois, then to Iowa. From there he came to Kansas, he made his home for several years in Montana and after leaving there he came again to Kansas and purchased a home near Nickerson. He was united in marriage to Artie Crawford of Missouri in 1868 and to this union were born two children, Albert Dunn of Bonham, Texas and Mrs. Hattie Waddle, Alexander, Kan. He was united in marriage the second time to Miss Agnes Guzard of Hooker, Okla., Oct. 28, 1917.He was converted and united with the M.E. church when a young man. He was a member of the Odd Fellow lodge for about 25 years and was a Klansman of Nickerson order. Brother Dunn was a quiet man, a man of good parts, and was faithful to his friends and neighbors. He is survived by his wife, son and daughter, 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and his only surviving brother, J.P. Dunn of Abbyville and many other relatives. Burial was in the Abbyville cemetery.
