Description	:	George Washington Ewing was born in Schylar County, Illinois, Feburary 22,1860, and departed this life April 16, 1940, after a breif illiness at his home near Walnut, Ks. He came to Kansas with his parents when he was about 9 years of age, and for the last 45 years has made his home in and around Walnut. Read More	George Washington Ewing was born in Schylar County, Illinois, Feburary 22,1860, and departed this life April 16, 1940, after a breif illiness at his home near Walnut, Ks. He came to Kansas with his parents when he was about 9 years of age, and for the last 45 years has made his home in and around Walnut. He was married to Amy Jane Morrison at Stockton, MO., July 4, 1885. To this union were born eight children, Mrs. Mable Warl and Violet having preceed their father in death. He is survived by his wife, Amy; two daughters; Mrs. Lula Bolin of Loyall, Kentuchy, and Mrs Jaunita Bink of Walnut. Four sons, Price and Lawrence of Walnut, John of Ottawa, and Guy of Herrington. Two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Bolinger of Hepler, and Mrs Ida Lamb of Gas. One brother, Tom Ewing of Iola. Two half brothers, Bert of Oklahoma, and Ray of Colorado. one half sister, Lola of Washington. Eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the United Brethern Church in Kimball. The Rev. Winnie Vivian, and Rev. D. Gier were in charge. Burial was in the Walnut Cemetery.
