| Description | : | George Washington Haynes came to Indiana with his parents in the spring of 1847 to Grant County, Indiana. His parents were John and Sophis Haynes. He was one of thirteen children. George married Nancy Jane Fields December 1, 1864 in Grant County Indiana. He and Nancy had eight children William, Rosella, John, Sophia, Alvin, Calvin, Eliza, and Joseph. George died in 1932 on his farm by the Mississinewa River. The farm is no longer there it is under water becausse of the Mississinewa Dam that was put in the 1960's. He was buried... Read More |
