Description	:	s/o Adam Heiland George was born in Buffalo, NY (according to his death certificate) and the older family members say he told of coming down the Ohio River as a boy. He lived and worked at the Heiland Hotel in Seven Mile starting in 1869. His to be wife Elizabeth Grob was a domestic servant working in Seven Mile. After they married they moved a few miles north down the road to Collinsville, where he set up a blacksmith shop. The shop is gone, however the house still sits there with a rod-iron fence out front that he made.
