Description	:	Sophia and George W. had 12 children together (Source: George Obit in 1912). Five outlived George and Sophia (George W. Jr., Merrill J., Clara V. Marshall, Alma Scott and Lottie Saum.) Two other children (David E. and Pence) died before George & Sophia did. Harriett C. was not mentioned in Sophia's 90th birthday newspaper article, Harriett C. died at the age of 5 years old of Scarlett Fever. Sophia married George W. when she was 18 years old in Fairfield, Ohio on April 27, 1845. They spent 2 or 3 years (Sophia said two years in her 90th birthday newspaper article) years living in Ohio and then migrated to Morley, Jones, Iowa a distance of 750 miles in a covered wagon in 1848 and settled in Anamosa, Iowa in 1887 (Source: George Obit in 1912). He was a member of the Lutheran church and a member of the Anamosa Masonic Lodge. When George W. died he had accumulated 800 acres of land some of which was timbered. George W. Miller (1820-1912) who married to Sophia, whose father was Christian Miller, born in Pennsylvania and Mother was Martha Strong (Really it was Strawn) of Pennsylvania. NOTE: Lot of people family tree's are confusing this George W. with George W. Miller (1823-1912) who was buried in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, USA , whose parents where Anna Ransom and John Miller-they are two separate people.)
