Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, in the Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church in Cope, with the Rev. Wilbur Creech officiating. Active pallbearers will be Charlie Williams, David Black, Ricky Krewson, Rusty Krewson, Alex Cave, James Strock, Tony Garrick, Tim Garrick, Tom Garrick, Todd Garrick, Devin Bair, and Eric Williams. Mr. Garrick was born February 22, 1923, in Cope, the son of the late Henry Belton Garrick and the late Eden Douglas Garrick. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He was retired from DuPont Savannah River Site. He was the widower of the late Deloris Halmon Garrick and was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor G. Covert and a brother, Henry Garrick. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Karen G. and Harold E. Black of Orangeburg; one granddaughter, Kelly Lauren Ulmer of Orangeburg; three sisters, Jean G. Krewson of Harlem, Ga., Nancy Bair of Charleston, Elaine Cave of Neeses; one brother, John Garrick of Norway and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the funeral home. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 29, at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Orangeburg. Memorials may be made to the S.P.C.A., P.O. Box 1584, Orangeburg, SC 29116.
