Description	:	George and his wife Jane Kennedy immigrated separately from Scotland, meeting and marrying in Ontario. They began farming in Edwardsburgh where their nine children were born. Sadly Jane appears to have died at the time of their ninth child in 1855. George himself died about a decade later, leaving the five youngest children to be raised by their oldest brother John.
