Mr. Price was born, raised and educated in Hingham, Mass. He graduated from Hingham High School in 1946. He then graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1951, and was well known as the owner and pharmacist at the Hingham Centre Pharmacy. Read More	George Whiton Price HINGHAM, Mass. - George Whiton "Whit" Price, age 76, of Hingham, Mass., and Lighthouse Point, Fla., died on Thursday, June 9, 2005, at the Southwood Nursing Center in Norwell after a long illness. Mr. Price was born, raised and educated in Hingham, Mass. He graduated from Hingham High School in 1946. He then graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1951, and was well known as the owner and pharmacist at the Hingham Centre Pharmacy. He was associated with the pharmacy from the age of 14 until his retirement in 1993. Mr. Price was a former trustee of the Hingham Centre Cemetery Association, a member of Old Colony Masonic Lodge and the Bare Cove Fire Museum, all in Hingham. For many years he also maintained a residence in Lighthouse Point, Florida. For 52 years he was the loving husband of Margery (Hunt) Price of Hingham, Mass.; he was the cherished father of Linda P. Heinzelman and her husband, Thomas, of Queensbury, Nancy W. Devine and her husband, Matthew, of Scituate, and Robert W. Price of Cocoa, Fla; he was the devoted grandfather of Erin Devine of Boston, Mass., Kerry Devine and Tracy Devine both of Scituate, Mark Heinzelman of Boston, Mass. and Kevin Heinzelman of Queensbury. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, June 13, at the Hingham Congregational Church, 38 Main St., (Route 228) Hingham. Friends may visit at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory would be preferred to the charity of one's choice. Interment will be at the Hingham Centre Cemetery.
