He was born June 12, 1920 in Wenatchee to William and Emma (Ames) Hudson. After graduation from high school he attended both Texas A & M and Washington State University, majoring in chemistry. Bill and Norma (Stramp) were married in Panama in 1941. She passed away in 1960. He and Bernadine Steele were married June 15, 1963 in Wenatchee. Bill served in the US Navy during WWII. He was stationed in Panama. After the war, he worked for Foothill Minerals for 23 years, retiring in 1973. He was the production manager. His interests included gardening, painting, cooking, woodworking, needlework. He enjoyed building and remodeling homes and electrical work. He was extremely interested in politics. The Wenatchee World did a write up about him and the flag of flowers he made for the bicentennial in 1976. His primary hobby however, was being with and helping people and his family. He was a member of the Central Christian Church and had the district honor of being the first baby of the church's cradle roll. He taught Sunday School at the church and was given the position as elder. He was very involved with the Wenatchee Lions Club and was instrumental in developing and organizing the Lazy Eye Clinic. He was also a member of the International Order of Foresters and the American Legion Post #10. He was a past member of the Eagles and the Elks Lodge. He is survived by his wife Bernadine Hudson of the home; his daughters, Mary Frances Waters of England, Norma Jeanne Smith of Poulsbo, Janice Louise Wyatt of Spokane, Teri Lee Aguirre of Silverdale; his stepsons Mervin Frank Cole of Las Vegas, Nicholas Wayne Cole of Milwaukee, Or; ten grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma, in 1960, an infant son, his parents and a brother, Henry Donald Hudson.
