Description	:	George Woldemar Heydenreich was born on April 13, 1859 at Trena, County of Lernrong, Saxony, Germany to Emil Oscar and Antonie Hedwig ‘ Eysoldt’ Heydenreich. He had one brother, Rudolph Max, and two sisters, Katharina born May 7, 1858 and Hedwig Marka born May 25, 1857. He also had two half-sisters, Clementine Gertrud born April 6, 1873, Elise Theodore ‘Dora’ born July 1, 1874, and three half-brothers, Hans Waldemar born November 1, 1875, Emil Franz born March 18, 1877 and Georg Martin born November 1, 1879. Read More	George Woldemar Heydenreich was born on April 13, 1859 at Trena, County of Lernrong, Saxony, Germany to Emil Oscar and Antonie Hedwig ‘ Eysoldt’ Heydenreich. He had one brother, Rudolph Max, and two sisters, Katharina born May 7, 1858 and Hedwig Marka born May 25, 1857. He also had two half-sisters, Clementine Gertrud born April 6, 1873, Elise Theodore ‘Dora’ born July 1, 1874, and three half-brothers, Hans Waldemar born November 1, 1875, Emil Franz born March 18, 1877 and Georg Martin born November 1, 1879. His mother, Antonie Hedwig, died June 30, 1870 and his father re-married on July 10, 1872 to Anna Elise ‘Simon’. George came to the United States from Germany in June, 1882 arriving in New York, NY. After a year in New York he went to St Paul, MN for a year. He then traveled to Medicine Lodge in 1884. He pre-empted land southwest of Medicine Lodge,on what is now the Dillman Ash ranch. He lived in a dugout and worked as a blacksmith near Isabel and freighted salt and fence posts out of OK. On September 16,1893 he made the land rush into the Cherokee Strip homesteading 6 miles southwest of Kiowa and lived in a dugout. He married Emma Schmidt on August 3, 1895. He became a naturalized citizen on November 10, 1900 in Alva, OK. In 1901 he sold the claim in OK and bought farm land 6 miles south of Medicine Lodge where he lived until his death December 11, 1930. George's brother, Rudolph Max Heydenreich, came to the USA after George and settled in the Chicago area until moving to Antioch, IL. Rudolph Max's memorial is 172132179. Max was cremated so there is no grave. Max died in 1924.
