Description	:	Georgette M. "Jet" DeLaughter, 83, of Sioux City died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at a Sioux City retirement home. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Jeffrey Schleisman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m., today with the family present from 6 to 8:30 p.m., with a rosary by the Catholic Daughters of America and the Carmelite Guild Board at 6:30 p.m., and a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., all at the Larkin Northside Funeral Home. Mrs. DeLaughter was born Feb. 22, 1917, in Jefferson, S.D., the daughter of Edward E. and Edme M. (Montagne) Allard. She attended St. Peters Grade School and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1935. She married Claire O. "Toots" DeLaughter on Dec. 24, 1935. He died March 28, 1962, in Sioux City. She worked as a secretary at St. Boniface Grade School for 18 years. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America-Ava Maria Court, and was a former member of the Carmelite Guild Board and a past president of the St. Boniface Rosary Society. Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Cheryl and Floyd Harvey of Weiser, Idaho, and Kathryn and Noel Patterson of Sioux City; three sons, William and his wife, Judith of San Angelo, Texas, Don and his wife, Kay of South Sioux City, and Noel of Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers and their wives, Dean and Mary Allard of Lynnwood, Wash., and Martin and Dorothy Allard of Sioux City; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jerome, Oswald, and Vern Allard; and three grandsons, Michael and David DeLaughter, and Timothy Patterson. Pallbearers will be Adam DeLaughter, Paul DeLaughter, John Patterson, Chad Merchant, John Mayo and Mark Allard. A memorial has been established in her name for Hospice of Siouxland.
