Read More	Published in the Daily Record August 29 to September 5, 2013 Georgia Dale Flannagan was born November 28, 1924 to Leslie and Sadie Townsend in Central City, Nebraska and passed away August 13, 2013 in Yakima, WA at the Living Care Center. She was the fourth of six children who all lived and worked a farm in Boelus, Nebraska. She graduated from Boelus High School at the top of her high school class in 1942. As a young woman, she moved to California where she attended the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. She later moved to Ellensburg, WA and worked as a Chiropractor and Naturopath in Ellensburg for approximately 50 years. She loved her work and was often regarded by her patients as someone who helped them when no one else could. She was also very involved in her church, attending the New Testament Christian Church and later, The First Baptist Church as well as many Bible study and prayer groups throughout her life. There are many people who were blessed by her faith and her prayers. In her later years, one of her most enjoyable activities was traveling, visiting Ireland, the Czech Republic and Israel to name just a few. She is survived by her sister, Ruby Tripp and her four daughters; Fran Nolden (husband, Michael), Maureen Nygard (husband, Rick), Kathy Johnson (husband, Steven), Cynthia Gallon (husband, Jason) as well as six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Homer (Bud) Flannagan in 1980. Memorial services will be held at the Wellspring Christian Fellowship Church, 306 N. Sprague Street in Ellensburg, WA at 2:00 p.m. on September 7, 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. Georgia Flannagan Memorial Scholarship. The family wishes to honor someone who seeks a health career through this scholarship. The checks need to be made payable to the YVCC Foundation, P.O. Box 22520, Yakima, WA 98907. Please indicate on the memo line of the check that it is for the Dr. Georgia Flannagan Memorial Scholarship.
