Description	:	Georgia E. Hamlin, 72, of Taunton, passed away on July 28th, 2021 at Morton Hospital with her beloved family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Wallace Skilling. Georgia was born in Milo, ME, the daughter of the late George and Frances (Harris) Hamlin. Before retiring, Mrs. Hamlin was employed with the Fall River public school dept as a teacher of the blind and visually impaired. Read More	Georgia E. Hamlin, 72, of Taunton, passed away on July 28th, 2021 at Morton Hospital with her beloved family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Wallace Skilling. Georgia was born in Milo, ME, the daughter of the late George and Frances (Harris) Hamlin. Before retiring, Mrs. Hamlin was employed with the Fall River public school dept as a teacher of the blind and visually impaired. Georgia was a graduate of Milo High School, the University of ME and earned her Master's with Boston College. She also attended the teacher training program of the Perkins School for the blind. Mrs. Hamlin was also a member of the former Morton Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed photography, cats and was a pianist. Georgia had a deep faith in God, she was a member of The Winthrop Street Baptist Church and felt blessed by God to provide music ministry at two churches. Mrs. Hamlin was a devoted wife, sister and friend and cherished time spent with them. Besides her beloved husband Wallace of over twenty-four years, she is survived by her brother Neil Hamlin and his wife Barbara of Milo, ME and her brother in law David Skilling and his wife Abby as well as her sister in law Dr. Heather Skilling. Visiting hours will be held in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary's Square), Taunton, with a memorial service to be held in the Winthrop Street Baptist Church, 39 Winthrop Street in Taunton. Her burial will be held privately in The Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, ME. Published by Taunton Gazette on Jul. 30, 2021.
