Description	:	Georgia Hawley of Yreka passed away at Fairchild Medical Center on Sept. 23, 2009. Georgia was 90 years old. Georgia was born Aug. 21, 1919 in Oakland, Calif. to George and Minerva Huffert. She moved to Siskiyou County in 1931. Georgia married Robert T. Hawley on Nov. 23, 1966 in Yreka and they lived in Happy Camp until moving to Yreka in 2000. Georgia attended several churches over the years. She enjoyed reading her bible and visiting with family and friends. Georgia loved watching baseball; the Cincinnati Reds were her favorite team. Georgia was born Aug. 21, 1919 in Oakland, Calif. to George and Minerva Huffert. She moved to Siskiyou County in 1931. Georgia married Robert T. Georgia is survived by her children George Everson Rider of Yreka, John Rider and his wife Janie of Eureka, Merceda Lange and her husband Fred of Montague and her sister Virginia Maplesden. Georgia is also survived by nine grandchildren, Yvonne (Grunt), Cindy, Randy, Martin, Brenda, Sheri, Nick, Denny and Stacy; 23 great-grandchildren; 12 1/2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bob; sisters, Lorraine Bailey and Audry Ward; grandson Charlie Rider; step-daughter Jean Skeahan; and stepson Bill Hawley. Services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009 at Girdners Funeral Chapel in Yreka at 2 p.m. Graveside services will be immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery. Family and Friends are invited to a get together at the home of the Riders at 947 State Hwy. 263.
