He was a member of First Baptist Church, Ottumwa Masonic Lodge #16 A.F.& A.M. and B.P.O. Elks Lodge #247. He was past president of the Wapello County Travelin' Sams. Surviving is a daughter, Patricia(John)Hissink of Springfield, MO; two grandchildren, Brian(Charity)Hissink of Branson, MO an April(Daniel)Breon of Sparta, MO; three great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Cassie and Emily Breon. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with Don Bramschreiber officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery with military services conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion. The family will be present at the fauneral home from 11 am to 1 pm Saturday for visitation.
