Description	:	Gerald "Red" Davis was born May 30, 1912 at Elgin, Iowa to George and Fern Knight Davis. He was united in marriage to Mardell Cue Davis on November 25, 1957 at Little Pine, Minnesota. To this union three sons were born, George, James and Douglas. Gerald graduated from Randalia High School in 1950. He spent his adult life farming in the Randalia, Maynard and Arlington areas until retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #248 A.F. & A.M. at Fayette, Iowa, which he joined in 1957. He was united in marriage to Mardell Cue Davis on November 25, 1957 at Little Pine, Minnesota. To this union three sons were born, George, James and Douglas. Gerald graduated from Randalia High School in 1950. He spent his adult life farming in the Randalia, Maynard and Arlington areas until retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #248 A.F. & A.M. at Fayette, Iowa, which he joined in 1957. He was Master of the Lodge in 1961 and 1962. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Maynard. Gerald died at the age of 78 on May 15 at the Sumner Hospital. Masonic rites were held Friday evening, May 17 at 7:50 p.m. His funeral services are at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 18 at the Kerns-Jamison Funeral Home in Maynard, with a committal service following in Long Grove Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Iola Bright, and one brother, Aulden. He is survived by his wife, Mardell, and three sons, George and his wife Vicki of Charles City, James and his wife Sandra of Coralville, and Douglas and his wife Beulah of Lamont. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Elizabeth and her husband Terry Barnes and their son Nicholas of Marshalltown, Jeffrey and his wife Kelly and their daughter Brooke of Abilene, Texas, Joe and his wife Patty of Oceanside, California, Deborah of Eldora, and Chasity and Mike, both of Charles City; Daniel and his wife Klm and their daughter Brittany of Coralville, Matthew of Coralville; Dawn of Cedar Rapids, and Scott and Brian, both of Lamont. Gerald is also survived by three brothers and one sister: Paul and his wife Bessie of Rochester, Minnesota, Reynold and his wife Inez of Fredericksburg, Claude and his wife Elva of Radcliffe, and Pearl and her husband Gordon Winkle of Rockford, Illinois. A memorial fund has been established in his memory. The family invites you to join them for a lunch at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Maynard following the committal service at Long grove,
