Description	:	A memorial service for Gerald Jaeschke, 49, Groton area farmer, was held at 2 p.m., Monday Nov. 8, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Groton with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Burial was at Sunset memorial Gardens in Aberdeen. Mr. Jaeschke died Thursday, Nov. 4, while hunting near Groton. The Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel of Groton was in charge of arrangements. Casketbearers were LeRoy Fuehger, Eugene Luce, Delwin Tullis, Roland Tullis, Darrel Sombke and LeRoy Weisenberger. All of his friends were considered honorary casketbearers. Mr. Jaeschke was born March 14, 1933, in Gem Township to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jaeschke. He grew up on a farm near there and married Connie Morris July 8, 1956, at Aberdeen. He was a veteran of the Korean War and lived in the Groton area all of his life where he farmed until his death. He was a trustee and usher at St. John’s Lutheran Church and was a member of the Feather and Fin Sportsman Club. Survivors include his widow; one son, Randy, Groton; and three sisters, Mrs. Howard (Lois) Leicht, Mrs. Marlys Weig and Mrs. Dwight (JoAnn) Commet, all of Aberdeen. He was preceded in death by his parents.
