Description	:	Jerry R. Closter, son of Ed and Marie (Neuhaus) Closter, was born Sept. 14, 1944, at Norfolk, Nebraska. Jerry died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at the Avera Creighton Care Centre, Creighton, Nebraska. Jerry attended St. Ludger Academy, Creighton, Nebraska graduating in 1962, and later graduated from Iowa State, Ames Iowa. Closter, son of Ed and Marie (Neuhaus) Closter, was born Sept. 14, 1944, at Norfolk, Nebraska. Jerry died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at the Avera Creighton Care Centre, Creighton, Nebraska. Jerry attended St. Ludger Academy, Creighton, Nebraska graduating in 1962, and later graduated from Iowa State, Ames Iowa. On June 28, 1969, he was married to Sharon West at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton, Nebraska. The couple were blessed with two children: Stephanie and Jeremy. During his lifetime, Jerry lived in several places, first in Chicago, Illinois, where he worked for Texaco as an accountant. Later, Jerry lived in Denver, Colorado, where he again worked as accountant and internal auditor, this time for the University of Colorado. In his later career, Jerry returned to his hometown of Creighton, Nebraska working for West-Hodson Lumber Company. Jerry was a member of St. Ludger Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 74 and the Creighton Chamber of Commerce. He also served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. Jerry is survived by: wife, Sharon Closter of Creighton, Nebraska; daughter, Stephanie (Ken) Scholl of Omaha, Nebraska and their three kids, Mackenzie, Mitchell and Brock; son, Jeremy Closter of Elkhorn, Nebraska; brother, Alan (Marti) Closter of Richmond, Virginia and a host of family and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by: parents, Edward and Marie Closter and brother, Don Closter. Interment was in The St. Ludger Catholic Church Cemetery, Creighton, Nebraska.
