Description	:	Gerald Lynn, 74, slipped peacefully from this life into everlasting eternal life on Wednesday morning, May 31, 2006, after an extended illness. Lynn, a Wenatchee resident since 1985, was born in Colville, WA to Jesse and Hattie (Gaines) Lynn on July 26, 1931, pioneers of the Greenwood area of Kettle Falls. Lynn was a Korean War veteran who served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marines as a corpsman from February 1951, until his honorable discharge in February 1955. Read More	Gerald Lynn, 74, slipped peacefully from this life into everlasting eternal life on Wednesday morning, May 31, 2006, after an extended illness. Lynn, a Wenatchee resident since 1985, was born in Colville, WA to Jesse and Hattie (Gaines) Lynn on July 26, 1931, pioneers of the Greenwood area of Kettle Falls. Lynn was a Korean War veteran who served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marines as a corpsman from February 1951, until his honorable discharge in February 1955. He was very proud of serving his country and had many interesting stories to tell of his time in the service. Lynn married his soul mate and partner, Nancy (Birmingham) Wilkie, on June 7, 1983, in Astoria, Oregon where he was a property appraiser for the county and their two families merged as one. He had also been a logger in his earlier years. He and his wife also lived in Heppner, Oregon before coming to the Wenatchee Valley where he had since made his home. He retired in 1994, as Seafood Manager for Top Foods. He had also been a reserve police officer with the East Wenatchee Police Department where he and his wife served as Crime Prevention Officers. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; four sons, Gerald W. "Gary" Lynn Jr., of Portland, OR, Ron Lynn of Boring, OR, Kurt Klotzbuecher (Shirley) of Wenatchee, and Erich Klotzbuecher of Covington; four daughters, Coleen Elser (Albert) of Aumsville, OR, Rebecca Lynn of Springfield, OR, Erin Anderson (Tim) of East Wenatchee, and Nicole Wilkie of Seattle, WA. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; and 1 brother. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister; and his youngest son, Jesse. Services for Gerald Lynn will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2006, at Telford's Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park in East Wenatchee with members of the VFW participating. Viewing will be Saturday from noon until 2:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Those wishing, may make memorials to the Hospice and Home Health Center at CWH. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
