Description	:	Gerald Wayne Wohler, Sigourney died March 6, at his home. He was born May 24, 1925, in Mason City to Jerry J. and Edna Van Note Wohler. He married Shirley Eileen Aves on Nov. 29, 1952, in Laverne, Minn. He was graduated from Mason City High School in 1942, and attended Reppert Auction School in Decatur, Ind. He had started to manage Mason City Sale Barn at the age of 16, and continued in this capacity until he entered the Army during the Korean Conflict in 1950. He served in Germany for about 16 months. He and his... Read More	Gerald Wayne Wohler, Sigourney died March 6, at his home. He was born May 24, 1925, in Mason City to Jerry J. and Edna Van Note Wohler. He married Shirley Eileen Aves on Nov. 29, 1952, in Laverne, Minn. He was graduated from Mason City High School in 1942, and attended Reppert Auction School in Decatur, Ind. He had started to manage Mason City Sale Barn at the age of 16, and continued in this capacity until he entered the Army during the Korean Conflict in 1950. He served in Germany for about 16 months. He and his wife moved to Sigourney in 1955, and he operated the Hi-Dollar Sales Co. until 1965. He then worked at Washington Sale Barn for 10 years, and then worked at Keoco Auction Co. until 1995. He was a partner with Bob Mallinger in M&W Auction from 1965 until early 1980. He remained active with his family in Hi-Dollar Auction & Real Estate. He was a life time member of the VFW, a past member of Kiwanis, and a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Sigourney. He is survived by his wife; a son, Jerry Wohler; a daughter, Julie Wohler; and two grandchildren. The service was held at Hope Lutheran Church, the Rev. Richard Mayer officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with military services conducted by Sigourney VFW-American Legion.
