Read More	Gerald “Jerry” William Waters, son of Robert and Mary Devine Waters was born April 2, 1936 in Adams County, Iowa and entered into rest at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield, Iowa on February 9, 2003 at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 7 days. He was united in marriage with Nancy Davis on October 31, 1959 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Massena and to this union four children were born: Gina, Julie, Troy and Amy. In the early years of marriage, Jerry worked for various construction companies prior to moving to Massena and operating the Mill for many years. After selling the mill, he sold equipment for McCunn’s and Wayne Shannon before leaving to buy the Hog Buying Station in town. Upon relocating to Greenfield, he worked for Rose Acres, eventually retiring from there in 2001. Jerry enjoyed various hobbies. Among them were wood working, gardening, fishing and visiting casinos. He also enjoyed playing with his eight grandchildren. He never knew a stranger. He had a nickname for everyone whether they needed it or not. Surviving are his wife Nancy Waters of Greenfield, Iowa; his four children: Gina Meisenheimer and her husband Larry and children Luke and Katie of Fontanelle, Iowa, Julie Waters of Irving, Texas, Troy Waters and his wife Cindy and children Jaxon and Sabrina of Arlington, Texas, and Amy Bradford and her husband Mark and children Zachary, Quentin, Hayden, and Carter of Lee’s Summit. Missouri. Also surviving are his mother Mary Waters of Greenfield, Iowa; sister Jean Coffman; sister Joanne Shannon and her husband Donald; brother Kenny Waters and his wife Donna, and brother Raymond Waters and his wife Dolores. He is survived by his brother-in-law Dennis Davis and his wife Joann and many nieces. nephews, relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Robert Waters; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wayne and Daisy Davis; and brother-in-law, Vern Coffman. Jerry enjoyed traveling with his family most of his life. During his retirement years, he and Nancy spent time traveling to visit family and friends. They enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and children in Missouri and Texas. The family of Jerry Waters wishes to express their gratitude for all the acts of kindness shown to them in their time of sorrow and invite you to share in lunch at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Massena following services at the cemetery.
