Description	:	Geraldine A. George, age 80 of York, died Saturday, October 8, 2011 in York. Geraldine was born June 12, 1931 in Sutton to Abraham J. and Violet (Harter) Buller. Geraldine attended elementary school in Henderson and graduated from York High School in 1948. Geraldine married Wayne Brackhan of Waco in 1948. He passed away in 1982. She married Ray George of Stromsburg in 1987. He passed away in 1990. Geraldine helped with farming until her first husband's death. George, age 80 of York, died Saturday, October 8, 2011 in York. Geraldine was born June 12, 1931 in Sutton to Abraham J. and Violet (Harter) Buller. Geraldine attended elementary school in Henderson and graduated from York High School in 1948. Geraldine married Wayne Brackhan of Waco in 1948. He passed away in 1982. She married Ray George of Stromsburg in 1987. He passed away in 1990. Geraldine helped with farming until her first husband's death. After moving to York in 1984, she worked as a desk clerk at Super 8 Motel for 11 years, retiring in 1995. Geraldine was confirmed in 1952 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Waco and joined Emmanuel Lutheran in York in 1956. Geraldine was a member of the LWML and was active in church circles. She was a volunteer of the American Cancer Society and participated in the Relay for Life since its beginning in York. Geraldine was a member of the Wellness Wanderers Walking Club and the Beaverette Club. Geraldine enjoyed gardening and flowers, sewing, walking and exercising, her collections, traveling with the York Fun Club, spending time with her grandchildren and her coffee group. She is survived by: son Michael W. Brackhan of York; daughter Linda and her husband Carl Tarlowski of Lincoln; grandchildren, Nick Tarlowski and Karissa Stephens, Annie Tarlowski and fiancé Eric Dolezal, Mindy Tarlowski and Tim Tarlowski; sister-in-law Kathy Buller of York; stepchildren: Todd and Norah George, Steve and Eileen George and Kathy Read; seven step-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, an infant daughter, and brothers, Don and his wife Lois Buller, Dale and Bob Buller. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery, York, NE.
