Description	:	MAXWELL - Geraldine Ann (Bloomberg) Griffith, 75, of Maxwell died Monday, May 9, 2005 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Geraldine was born June 2, 1929 in Nevada, Iowa, the daughter of Burt and Blanche Peterson Bloomberg. She was united in marriage to Gilbert Griffith September 4, 1949 in Maxwell, Iowa. She graduated from Maxwell High School in 1948. Geraldine was employed with Donnelly Marketing in Nevada for 23 years and the Animal Disease Lab in Ames for 8 years before retiring in 1992. Read More	MAXWELL - Geraldine Ann (Bloomberg) Griffith, 75, of Maxwell died Monday, May 9, 2005 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Geraldine was born June 2, 1929 in Nevada, Iowa, the daughter of Burt and Blanche Peterson Bloomberg. She was united in marriage to Gilbert Griffith September 4, 1949 in Maxwell, Iowa. She graduated from Maxwell High School in 1948. Geraldine was employed with Donnelly Marketing in Nevada for 23 years and the Animal Disease Lab in Ames for 8 years before retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Cambridge United Methodist Church, UMW, the Dorcas Society and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed sports, music and the movies. Geraldine was a caring and loving mother and wife. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert of Maxwell; 2 sons and daughters-in-law: John and Patsy Griffith of Cambridge, David and Cindy Griffith of Maxwell; a daughter, Georgia Griffith of Des Moines; 6 grandchildren: Amy (Christopher) Renner of Mitchellville, Benjamin Griffith of Ankeny, Charles Griffith of Cambridge, Joni Griffith of Nevada, and Brian Griffith and Katie Griffith of Maxwell; 2 great-grandchildren: Harley and Kirsten Renner; a good friend, Doris Luiken of Des Moines; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, George Cook; a brother: Gerald Bloomberg; and a stepbrother, Elba Cook. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday at the Cambridge United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Center Grove Cemetery near Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cambridge United Methodist Church. ©Nevada Journal 2005
