Funeral services will be 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 3rd at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Rev. Warren Uecker officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM on Wednesday at Weiland Funeral Chapel with the family present from 6-7 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Geraldine was born on July 18, 1936 at Isabel, South Dakota, the daughter of Gerald and Faye (Dahlgren) Bowden. She graduated from Beadle High School in Madison, South Dakota. She married Norman W. Fischer on September 9, 1956 and he later died in 1994. Geraldine went on to marry Dick Hansen on October 22, 2001 and he died about one year later in 2002. Geraldine was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Madison, VFW Women’s Auxiliary, Town and Country Square Dance Club, and The Red Hatters. Throughout the years she worked at Sunshine Foods, Community Center, May & Scofield. Survivors include sons, Keith (Charlene) Fischer of Madison, SD and Matt (Missy) Fischer of Leipsic, OH; daughters, Janet (Dave) Trojan of Temple, TX and Jean (Dave) Henrichs; thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Kip (Shirley) Bowden of Huron, SD; sisters, Sanna (Ron) Asmussen of Rapid City, SD, Sheryl (Al) Froiland of Aberdeen, SD and Nellie (Bob) Olson of Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-laws, Gretchen Bowden and Beverly Langner both of Madison, SD; brother-in-law, Earl Junker of Salem, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Faye Bowden; one sister, LouAnn and two brothers, Jerry and Burdette. - Weiland Funeral Chapel
