Description	:	Geraldine Joyce Sielbach, 83, of Billings, passed away Feb. 19, 2013, at RiverStone Health Hospice Home. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held March 1, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 537 Grand Ave., with the Rev. Timothy Richholt officiating. Inurnment will be at the Pioneer Cemetery in Park City, Mont. Geraldine (Gerry) was born on July 7, 1929, in Park City, Mont., to Henry and Martha (Giesick) Schessler. Her parents farmed in the Park City area and Gerry attended the first grade there. The family moved to Laurel, where her father operated Schessler and Sons Grocery Store. She graduated from Laurel High School in 1947. After high school she worked for her father for a year before entering nurses training at Billings Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing (Montana State College). After graduating in 1951 she began her career at Billings Deaconess Hospital and then moved to The Billings Clinic. She married Fred A. Sielbach on June 5, 1955. They moved to Helena, Mont., in 1957, where she worked at St. Peter's Hospital as supervisor of Central Supply, helping move into the new hospital. In 1968, Gerry and Fred moved back to Billings. Gerry lived the rest of her life in Billings except for 1992-1993, when Fred worked on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. Gerry enjoyed sewing, reading, spending time with grandchildren and playing Bunco, and was a founding member of the Graduates Club. Gerry maintained many lifelong friendships and enjoyed monthly luncheons with a large group of high school friends. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Fred; son Kurt (Jennifer) of Puyallup, Wash.; daughter Melissa (Craig) Reese of Bellevue, Wash.; son Kent (Mary) of Billings; son Drew (Susan) of Juneau, Alaska; brother Tom (Jerry) Schessler of Belgrade, Mont.; brother Rick (Lisa) Schessler of Bellingham, Wash.; grandchildren Jessica (James) Koden, Nicole (Gabe) Seanard, Justin, Cari, Heidi, Collin, Rachel and Kyle; and four great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank all of Gerry's friends who visited her during her stay at Riverstone, including Berv and Virginia Kimberley, who visited every week bringing news and fellowship. Also thank you to the staff of the hospice for their wonderful care. Memorials may be sent to RiverStone Health Hospice Home and Trinity Lutheran Church.
