She was born March 18, 1929 at Beemer, NE to Alfred and Clara (Hille) Paulsen. She grew up at Beemer and was a 1946 graduate of Beemer High School. After her marriage the couple moved to Fremont. She was born March 18, 1929 at Beemer, NE to Alfred and Clara (Hille) Paulsen. She grew up at Beemer and was a 1946 graduate of Beemer High School. After her marriage the couple moved to Fremont. Gerayne later worked at the Hillside Dairy stores in Fremont and North of Fremont retiring in 1989. Gerayne Paulsen married Howard Jansen on May 24, 1951 at Beemer, NE. Howard died June 10, 1977. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Fremont and was very active. Survivors include her daughter, Diane King and husband Curtis of Fremont; sister Thelma Furchert of West Point, NE ; one granddaughter and two great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Jansen; son, Bruce Jansen; brother, Elmer Paulsen and an infant sister. Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. John Plowman will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3-8 P.M. and the family will receive friends form 6-8 P.M. all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will continue on Thursday 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Ridge Cemetery, Fremont, Nebraska. (mosermemorialchapel.com/obituary)
