Flaherty, 80, joined Our Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta with her nephew, Richard and wife Mary, and niece Peggy and husband Lucien by her side. She was born June 6, 1934, in Waterville, the daughter of the late Donat and Elizabeth (Huard) Ouellette. She was an avid bingo player, loved spending time with her family and friends. Flaherty, 80, joined Our Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta with her nephew, Richard and wife Mary, and niece Peggy and husband Lucien by her side. She was born June 6, 1934, in Waterville, the daughter of the late Donat and Elizabeth (Huard) Ouellette. She was an avid bingo player, loved spending time with her family and friends. She also did puzzles and loved to color. Germaine is survived by her special nephew Richard Smith and wife Mary of Oakland who loved her dearly and took good care of her; a sister, Armande Burgess of Oakland; 2 daughters, Joan Hale of Georgia and Linda Flaherty of Portland; and 3 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Gloria M. Smith; and 2 brothers, Willian and Arsene Duguay. A graveside service will be held at a later date at St. Francis Cemetery in Waterville. Special thanks to all at the Oak Grove Nursing Home who took such wonderful care of Germaine.
