She was born on January 25, 1914 in Pitkin to the union of Ephraim and Nancy Doyle. She was a charter member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Pitkin where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years and had a heart for missions. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend.She is preceded in death by her husband of seventy-seven years, Spencer Willis; two daughters, Mildred Droddy and Carmen Starnes; one grandson, James Spencer Melder; three sisters, Essie Johnson, Mattie Willis, Iva Droddy; two brothers, David Doyle and Mike Doyle, Sr and one son-in-law, David Starnes."Her children arise up, and call her blessed". Proverbs 31:28She loved and was loved deeply by her family. Those left to cherish her memories are two sons, Paul Willis (Carolyn) of Pitkin and Jack Willis of Ellicott City, Maryland; one daughter, Billie Melder (James) of Pitkin; one son-in-law, Clifton Droddy, Sr. of Pitkin; grandchildren, Clifton (Caryn) Droddy, Jr. of Sublette, Kansas, Tim (Terri) Droddy of Silsbee, Texas, Ephraim (Darlene) Droddy of Pitkin, Andy Starnes and Jeannie Starnes of Pitkin, Carol (Bennie) Midkiff of Pineville, Jeff (Dorothy) Melder of Pitkin, Jacqueline (Jay) Kozereski of Severna Park, Maryland, Brooke Willis of Ellicott, Maryland, Kyle (Paula) Willis of Pitkin and Eric (Vanessa) Willis of Oakdale; great grandchildren, Ashly (Jeffrey) Strother, Kelli Droddy, Matthew Droddy, Josh (Lisa) Droddy, Sadie and Jennifer Brechtel, Sara (Dan) Strother, Nicole Droddy, Taylor Droddy, April (Billy) Perkins, Ashley Reeves, Emma Reeves, Charlie Droddy, William Droddy, Emily (D.D.)
