Description	:	Gertrude Aloha Treat was born in Anderson, California on September 18, 1910 on the Aloha Ranch on Balls Ferry Road to her parents, Gertrude and Ted Williams. She resided there until moving to Red Bluff where she graduated from Red Bluff High School in 1927. She attended the San Jose State College, having contacted TB she was unable to complete her term for graduation. Upon returning to Anderson she met and married Alvin Treat. Read More	Gertrude Aloha Treat was born in Anderson, California on September 18, 1910 on the Aloha Ranch on Balls Ferry Road to her parents, Gertrude and Ted Williams. She resided there until moving to Red Bluff where she graduated from Red Bluff High School in 1927. She attended the San Jose State College, having contacted TB she was unable to complete her term for graduation. Upon returning to Anderson she met and married Alvin Treat. They were married 50 years; they resided and ranched on the Treat Dairy on North Street in Anderson, California. Alvin and Gertrude brought the first Brown Swiss Cows to Northern California in 1941. They sold milk and delivered milk to residents of Anderson. Gertrude is survived by her daughters Donna Lucas of Anderson, Francis Nichols of Wheatland, four grandsons, two granddaughter and eight great grand children. Preceded in death by her husband Alvin Treat. Gertrude was the granddaughter of the first doctor of Gas Point, Kenneth Davidson who also donated the Piekney Cemetery on Gas Point Road now known as Gas Point Cemetery. Gertrude was a member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, Camellia Parlor #41, Anderson. She would have been awarded her 75 year pen in November. She formed the Charter and was advisor of the Junior Native Daughters Parlor #14 Anderson. She was also a member of the Children's Adoption service through the Native Daughters of the Golden West helping to place children with families in Northern California. She served as District Deputy for several parlors through district #4., also serving as Supervisor District Deputy for District #4. Charter member of the Past President Association #14. She served as "First Lady of Anderson" during the term or her husband, Alvin Treat, Mayor of Anderson. Gertrude also donated many hour to the Red Cross during World War II. At the time of her passing, Gertie was residing in Lincoln Manor, Lincoln, California. Graveside services will be conducted at the Anderson Cemetery on Friday, September 14, at 11 a.m. A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Native Daughters Hall on Bush St. (next to the Cottonwood Fire Hall) Cottonwood, immediately following the service.
