Description	:	Gertrude M. Cumming Gertrude M. Cumming, age 90 of Cheshire, passed away Friday morning, December 26, 2008. She was the wife of E. Perry Cumming. Mrs. Cumming was born September 12, 1918 in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Eli and Mary (Knees) McLellan. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ernest and Robert McLellan. Cumming, age 90 of Cheshire, passed away Friday morning, December 26, 2008. She was the wife of E. Perry Cumming. Mrs. Cumming was born September 12, 1918 in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Eli and Mary (Knees) McLellan. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ernest and Robert McLellan. Trudy was foremost a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand-mother. Family was her top priority. She was a longtime Milford resident before moving to Cheshire in 2002. She was a member of the Milford Congregational Church and the Milford Women's Club. Besides her husband of 66 years, Mrs. Cumming is survived by her daughters, Cheryl MacQueen and her husband, Marc of Middleborough, Mass. and Cynthia Rowe and her husband, Gary of Cheshire; a sister, Merle "Sis" Herman of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Garrick Willard and his wife, Diana, Sean Willard and his wife, Dawn, Jonathan Rowe, Jennifer Rowe, Lauren MacQueen and Heather Maxim and her husband, Michael; and three great-grandchildren, William, Max and Alexandra Willard. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Elim Park Chapel, 150 Cook Hill Rd., Cheshire. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Innovative Hospice, 1579 Straits Turnpike, Middlebury, CT or The Elim Park Benevolent Fund. The Slater Funeral Home, 242 S.
