She was born February 14, 1942 in Ottumwa to Benjarmin and Mildred "Toots" Jackson Cox. She married Gene Palm on January 22, 1956. Rosie was a graduate of Cardinal High School. Rosie enjoyed gardening and beekeeping, she had volunteered for veterans, and she and her husband played Mr. and Mrs. Claus for many years. Surviving are her husband, Gene; her children, Tralawney (Kevin) Ellis and Greg (Kris) Palm both of Ottumwa; 4 grandchildren, Autumn (Dusty) Williams, Dayton (Ashlee) Archer, Lacey (Matt) Olson and Tara Palm; 7 great-grandchildren, Sydney and Adelynn Williams, Tyler and Tucker Olson, Hunter Archer, Sophia and Ivan Short; 2 sisters, Ida Houk and Cathy Burtlow and 3 brothers, Terry (Nancy) Cox, Donnie (Carolyn) Cox and Dennis (Adrian) Cox, all of Ottumwa She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Palm; 2 brothers, Tommy and Bennie Cox and a sister, Judy Amason. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Sunday with the family present from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice serving Davis and Wapello Counties.
