Description	:	Gideon "Pete" Zeeb, 82, Menno, died Wednesday (Dec. 12, 2001) at Menno-Olivet Care Center, Menno. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Riverview Park Reformed Church, Yankton, with the Rev. Rodney Veldhuisen officiating. Inurnment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Yankton. His early years were spent helping on the family farm south of Menno. He attended grade school at Zeeb School south of Menno. He was confirmed at Menno Reformed Church July 1, 1934. He married Delphine Edelman on July 20, 1941, at the John Edelman farm northeast of Viborg. They farmed in the Menno area until 1946, when they moved to California, living there for three years. They returned to South Dakota in 1949, where he farmed until 1962. He also worked for Stuephnagel's and Ace Cleaners before taking the position of resident manager at Canyon Ridge Apartments in 1978. In 1999, he retired from Canyon Ridge Apartments. They moved to the Menno-Olivet Care Center in March 2001. He was a member of the Riverview Park Reformed Church, Yankton. Survivors include his wife, Delphine; two sons, Kenneth Zeeb, Menno, and John (Linda) Zeeb, Yankton; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers: Christ Zeeb, Mitchell, and Elmer Zeeb, Menno; and three sisters: Gertrude Edelman, Yankton; Leona Gall, Sioux Falls; and Edna Filaus, Menno.
