Description	:	Mrs. Bert Den Herder, nee Grace Vande Brake, passed away Tuesday evening at the hospital in Orange City. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 24 1 o'clock at the Sioux Center Cooperative Funeral Parlors, and 1:30 at the First Reformed Church Rev. P. A. De Jong will officiate. Mrs Grace Den Herder, daughter of pioneer Eibert Vande Brake, was born on a farm 2 and on half miles south of Sioux Center. She married Bert DenHerder, who died on January 10 1935. Mrs Grace Den Herder, daughter of pioneer Eibert Vande Brake, was born on a farm 2 and on half miles south of Sioux Center. She married Bert DenHerder, who died on January 10 1935. They lived on several farms first there John G. Van Roekel now lives, then where Clarence Mol lives, and the time of his death on the small farm 1 mile west of town where Ar Emmena lives. Since his death she lived in Sioux Center. She was 74 years 8 months and 2 days old at the time of her death. Mrs. Den Herder became ill two weeks ago and was taken to the home of her brother Gerrit for care. Last Friday she was taken to the hospital where she died on Tuesday. Out of a family of eleven children only two survive, her brother Gerrit of Orange City, and her sister Winnie (Mrs. William Lammers). They had no children. Sioux Center News1951-02-22.
